Mars documentationDiscord moderation

Mars

A calmer orbit for your Discord community. Get started with AI moderation powered by Ad Astra.

Add Mars to your server

Add Mars to Discord and select a server where you have permission to manage applications. The invite requests Administrator access. Review it before authorizing.

Open /help in your server for the in-bot guide. Use /automod to review and configure your server settings.

Make the rules yours

Choose your moderation log channel, configure categories and confidence thresholds, and select how Mars responds: report, warn, delete, or timeout. Set exemptions for specific channels and roles.

Staff messages

Mars skips members with Manage Messages permission by default, including administrators. To include staff messages, use /automod skip-staff enabled:false.

Test moderation

Use /scan to test text or an image. A test scan shows the moderation result without applying an enforcement action. Review your log channel when testing automatic moderation.

Powered by Ad Astra

Ad Astra is the managed decision model used by Mars. Server settings control how its results are applied. AI can make mistakes; review reports and tune your rules for your community.
