The Trace admin panel is your central hub for everything moderation-related inside your Roblox experience. Authorized staff open it directly in-game, giving you real-time visibility into players, detections, bans, and team communication - all without leaving the game client.

Opening the Panel

Press the Trace launcher button (shown to authorized staff only) to open the panel. The first time you open it in a session, it launches full-screen. From there you can resize and reposition it to suit your workflow.
Navigation destinations you don’t have permission to access are hidden from the sidebar automatically. The server also re-validates every action, so hidden items are a convenience - not the only layer of protection.

Panel Sections

Home

Server overview with online player count, recent activity, pending reports, and active staff. Shortcuts give you one-click access to common tasks.

Players

Search for and manage both online and offline players. Open any player profile to view history, issue moderation actions, or leave a note.

Detections

Browse every anticheat detection event recorded on the current server. Each event includes player identity, detection reason, and a timestamp.

Replays

Review recorded 3D replay sessions linked to detection events. Full timeline controls, bookmarks, and auto-slowdown are included - see the Replays page for details.

Moderation / Bans

View and manage all active bans across your experience. Unban players or review the original moderation reason directly from this section.

Logs

A full audit trail of every moderation action taken by your team - who did what, when, and to whom.

Notes

Per-player staff notes. Leave context for your team about a player’s history, behavior patterns, or ongoing investigations.

Reports

Player-submitted help requests. Staff can read the report, view the submitting player’s profile, and teleport directly to them.

Servers

Cross-server presence view and server management tools. See which staff are online across all running servers.

Trace Chat

Cross-server private staff chat. Coordinate with your team across every live server in real time without players seeing the conversation.

Settings

Configure appearance, protection levels, operations, game systems, roles, and review Trace version information.

Window Behavior

The panel opens full-screen on first use. Drag the top region of the panel to detach it into a movable, resizable window you can position anywhere on your screen. On mobile devices the panel respects a minimum floor size to keep controls accessible on smaller screens.

Customizing the Home Section

The Home section supports a customizable layout so every staff member can arrange it to match their workflow.

Open Home

Navigate to the Home section in the admin panel sidebar.

Open Customize

Click the Customize button in the top-right corner of the Home section.

Toggle Sections

Enable or disable individual widgets - player count, recent activity, pending reports, staff list, and shortcuts - to build a layout that works for you.

Save

Your layout preference is saved per staff account and persists across sessions.
Every staff member can set up their own Home layout independently. A reviewer might keep Reports and Players front and center, while a senior moderator keeps Detections and Logs visible at a glance.

Trace CMD

Trace CMD is a keyboard-driven command palette for staff who prefer speed over clicks. Press the quote key ( ` ) anywhere in the experience to open it. Trace CMD supports quick moderation actions including:
  • ban - ban a player with a reason and optional duration
  • warn - issue a formal warning
  • kick - remove a player from the server
  • unban - lift an existing ban
  • fly - grant flight to a player
  • unfly - revoke flight from a player
Trace CMD provides syntax-aware completion as you type. For example, typing ban Saauf Exploiting p resolves p automatically to Permanent before you submit. See the Moderation page for the full command reference.

Inspect Mode

Inspect Mode lets you click any player in the game world to instantly open their Trace profile, without navigating through the Players list. When active, the admin panel is hidden and replaced by a small status bubble so you have a clear view of the game world.

Activate Inspect Mode

Enable Inspect Mode from the Quick Actions bar or via Trace CMD. The panel closes and a status bubble appears to indicate Inspect Mode is active.

Click a Player

Click any player character in the 3D world.

Review Their Profile

The player’s Trace profile opens immediately with their history, active bans, notes, and available moderation actions.

Quick Actions

The Quick Actions bar is a compact strip that holds all six action icons when collapsed, and expands on hover to show labels. It stays accessible without opening the full panel. Actions available through Quick Actions include:
  • Server announcements
  • Enabling or disabling Inspect Mode
  • Opening Trace CMD
Quick Actions keeps your most-used tools one click away so you can stay in the flow of moderating without navigating menus.
