Trace Replays give your staff a recorded 3D session to review whenever an anticheat detection fires. Instead of making moderation decisions based on a text log alone, you watch exactly what happened - with a timeline, bookmarks, and automatic slowdown right at the moment that matters.

What Gets Recorded

A replay is captured automatically each time one of Trace’s anticheat checks flags a player. The recording covers the window of time surrounding the detection event so you always have context both before and after the flag. Replays are stored and accessible from:
  • The Replays section of the admin panel
  • The detection event itself - each detection links directly to its associated replay

Opening a Replay

1

Find the detection or replay

Navigate to Detections and click the replay icon on any detection event, or browse all recordings in the Replays section.
2

Wait for the loading screen

A full-screen opaque loading view appears while the replay data is fetched and the scene is reconstructed.
3

Review in the 3D viewer

The replay opens in a cinema-framed 3D viewer with playback controls along the bottom. The game world is reconstructed locally - other players in your session never see the replay actor.
The replay actor is created locally on your client and is not replicated to other players in the server. Nameplates and collisions are disabled on the replay actor so it doesn’t interfere with the live game world around you.

Playback Controls

Use the speed selector to drop to 0.25× and carefully scrub through the evidence window. Small but clear physics anomalies - impossible direction changes, clipping geometry, or unnatural velocity spikes - are much easier to spot at low speed.

Detection Marker

A red marker is placed on the timeline at the exact moment the anticheat detection was recorded. When you open a replay, you can immediately seek to this marker to jump straight to the flagged behavior without scrubbing through unrelated footage.

Auto-Slowdown

Trace automatically slows playback to 0.25× as it approaches the evidence window - the recorded period around the detection moment. This ensures you don’t accidentally play through the most important part at full speed. You can override the auto-slowdown at any time by selecting a different speed from the speed selector.

Bookmarks

Bookmarks are personal markers you place on the timeline to flag moments you want to return to.
Bookmarks are personal staff preferences. They are not shared with other staff members and do not appear in official evidence records. Use them as a personal review aid - note the timestamps manually if you need to share specific moments with your team.
To add a bookmark:
1

Play or scrub to the moment

Use the timeline to position playback at the moment you want to mark.
2

Click Mark

Press the Mark button in the playback controls. A bookmark indicator appears on the timeline.
3

Return to it later

Click the bookmark indicator on the timeline at any time to instantly seek back to that position.
4

Remove a bookmark

Click the Mark button again while positioned at a bookmark to remove it.
