TRACE SOFTWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT
Product: Trace Version: 26.1 | Free Community & Commercial Use License Last Updated: September 20, 2026 PLEASE READ THIS LICENSE AGREEMENT (“AGREEMENT”) CAREFULLY BEFORE DOWNLOADING, IMPORTING, INSTALLING, OR USING THE SOFTWARE PRODUCT KNOWN AS “TRACE” (INCLUDING ITS PACKAGES, SCRIPTS, INTERFACES, PLUGINS, AND ACCOMPANYING DOCUMENTATION). BY IMPORTING, INSTALLING, CONFIGURING, OR RUNNING THE SOFTWARE IN ANY ROBLOX STUDIO PLACE OR PUBLISHED ROBLOX EXPERIENCE, OR BY INTERACTING WITH ANY IN-GAME INITIALIZATION PROMPT, YOU (“LICENSEE” OR “YOU”) AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THIS AGREEMENT. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, DO NOT INSTALL OR USE THE SOFTWARE.1. DEFINITIONS
1.1. “Licensor” means the original creator, copyright holder, and maintainer of Trace: Pure Studio. 1.2. “Software” means the moderation, anticheat, analytics, and administrative management software suite known as “Trace” (version 26.1 and any official updates), comprising:- The server engine module;
- The administration interface;
- The client-side security and moderation interface;
- The studio assistant plugin;
- All configuration scripts, settings modules, graphical assets, tokens, and documentation.
2. GRANT OF LICENSE (FREE FOR PERSONAL & COMMERCIAL EXPERIENCES)
2.1. Free License Grant. The Software is provided free of charge. Subject to the terms of this Agreement, Licensor grants Licensee a worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, royalty-free license to:- Download, install, and embed the Software into an unlimited number of Licensee Experiences;
- Execute and operate the Software on both personal/testing and public/monetized Roblox experiences (Licensee may freely monetize their own Roblox experience via in-game purchases, passes, paid access, or subscriptions without paying royalties or fees to Licensor);
- Configure and adapt settings via the provided configuration scripts and supported hooks.
3. RESTRICTIONS AND PROHIBITED CONDUCT
To safeguard the project, community, and integrity of the Software, Licensee agrees NOT to: 3.1. No Resale or Sublicensing of the Software: You may NOT sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or charge any fee for the Software itself (whether standalone or packaged into other development toolkits). 3.2. No Rebranding or False Authorship: You may NOT remove, alter, or conceal any copyright notices, branding, version identifiers, or author attributions from the Software, nor claim or imply that the Software was created by you or any party other than Pure Studio. 3.3. No Standalone Public Re-uploading: You may NOT re-upload or distribute the raw Software (or modified versions of it) as a standalone asset, model, or library on public asset marketplaces, code repositories, or distribution channels under your own name without prior written consent from Pure Studio. 3.4. No Malicious Use: You may NOT modify the Software to deliver backdoors, unauthorized administrative exploits, token loggers, or malicious payloads to other developers or players. 3.5. Competitive Derivative Anticheats: You may NOT deconstruct or lift the proprietary heuristic detection algorithms, design language tokens, or core interface architecture to publish a competing commercial or public anticheat/admin product.4. TELEMETRY, VERSION INTEGRITY & EXTERNAL SERVICES
4.1. Automated Version Checking. The Software includes lightweight network requests to Licensor’s remote endpoints to verify build integrity, verify the latest release, inform administrators of critical security vulnerabilities, and assist in deprecating insecure legacy builds. No sensitive player credentials or private place sources are transmitted. 4.2. Licensee Integrations. Licensee is solely responsible for configuring and securing any external notification endpoints or third-party webhooks set within the configuration scripts. Licensor has no access to and is not liable for data transmitted to Licensee’s third-party endpoints.5. PRIVACY, DATA PROTECTION & ROBLOX COMPLIANCE
5.1. Compliance with Roblox Terms. Licensee’s usage of the Software must strictly comply with the Roblox Terms of Use and Community Standards. 5.2. Data Storage & Moderation Logs. The Software stores moderation records (warnings, bans, notes, replays) in platform data stores. Licensee acts as the administrator/controller of their game’s data stores. 5.3. Right to Be Forgotten: Licensee is responsible for complying with platform data erasure requests (Right to be Forgotten under applicable privacy regulations) by purging any corresponding records stored by the Software when notified by the platform operator.6. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES (“AS-IS”)
6.1. Free “AS-IS” Provision. BECAUSE THE SOFTWARE IS LICENSED FREE OF CHARGE, IT IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. 6.2. No Guarantee of Infallibility. LICENSOR DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL DETECT OR PREVENT ALL EXPLOITS, THIRD-PARTY INJECTIONS, PHYSICS TAMPERING, OR ANOMALIES, NOR DOES LICENSOR GUARANTEE THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE COMPLETELY FREE OF BUGS, LATENCY GLITCHES, OR FALSE-POSITIVE DETECTIONS. 6.3. Platform Changes & Engine Updates. LICENSOR IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY SCRIPT ERRORS, INCOMPATIBILITIES, OR OUTAGES CAUSED BY PLATFORM ENGINE UPDATES, SERVER BREAKAGES, OR MODIFICATIONS TO PLATFORM APIS.7. TOTAL LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
7.1. No Consequential Damages. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LICENSOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:- LOSS OF REVENUE, PROFITS, IN-GAME CURRENCY, OR VIRTUAL ASSETS;
- DAMAGE TO GAME POPULARITY, RATINGS, OR PLAYER RETENTION;
- FALSE BANS, ERRONEOUS MODERATION ACTIONS, OR DISRUPTED SESSIONS;
- DATA STORE CORRUPTION OR LOSS OF REPLAY DATA;
- ANY ACCOUNT OR PLACE MODERATION ENFORCEMENT CARRIED OUT BY THE PLATFORM OPERATOR.
8. TERMINATION, DISCRETIONARY REVOCATION & ACCOUNT BLOCKING
8.1. Term. This Agreement remains in effect until terminated or revoked by Licensor. 8.2. Discretionary Revocation Without Cause. Pure Studio reserves the unconditional right and absolute discretion to revoke, suspend, withdraw, or terminate this license, as well as any access to the Software, updates, or related services, at any time, for any reason or for no reason whatsoever, without prior notice, explanation, or liability to Licensee or any third party. 8.3. Account and Entity Blocking. Pure Studio explicitly reserves the right to permanently block, blacklist, ban, or restrict any specific user account, developer identity, organization, group, or experience from accessing, initializing, running, or connecting to the Software or its network services. Any attempt by a blocked individual, entity, or experience to circumvent, bypass, or spoof such restrictions constitutes an immediate and material breach of this Agreement. 8.4. Termination for Breach. Your rights under this Agreement will terminate automatically and immediately without notice if you fail to comply with any term of this Agreement (for example, re-uploading the software under a false identity, attempting to sell the software, or stripping author credits). 8.5. Consequences of Termination or Revocation. Upon termination, revocation, or placement on a blocklist:- All rights and licenses granted to Licensee are immediately and irrevocably extinguished;
- Licensee must immediately cease all use, execution, and operation of the Software;
- Licensee must permanently delete and purge all copies of the Software from all places, server environments, and local storage.
9. TRADEMARK & PLATFORM DISCLAIMER
9.1. Independence. Trace is an independent community and developer tool created by Pure Studio. It is not affiliated with, authorized, maintained, sponsored, or endorsed by Roblox Corporation. 9.2. Third-Party Notices. Build utilities and third-party tools utilized in development are used in accordance with their respective open-source licenses and notices.10. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION
10.1. Governing Law. This Agreement and any disputes arising out of or related to it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Poland, without regard to conflict of law principles. 10.2. Severability. If any provision of this Agreement is held to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. 10.3. Language.
